There are a number of programs, some State , Federal and others part of COVID-19 bills passed by Congress and signed into law by President Trump that can provide financial assistance specifically for Dairy Farmers.
The University of Minnesota Extension Service will be sponsoring a webinar titled Understanding 2020 Financial Programs for Dairy Farmers. Presenters include Megan Roberts Educator in Ag Business Management based at the Mankato Regional office. Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic Megan has focused a lot of work on the farm financial impact of the pandemic. The other presenter, Nathan Hulinsky is an Educator for the Ag Business Management team based in St Cloud. Nathan teaches programs on land rent, dairy risk, farm bill, agricultural taxation and farm transfer.
