Replying to a question raised by members in the house during the question hour, the Minister said as part of dairy development and strengthening the Rural economy in the state, the government has introduced MADS for the benefit of 2.13 lakh farmers.
Under the scheme, Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) farmers would get 75 per cent subsidy and 50 per cent subsidy for Backward Class and others.
So far 58,000 farmers were benefited under MADS scheme. The remaining farmers would be benefited soon, the Minister said.
Mr Yadav said that a Green Field Mega Dairy plant with modern technology would be constructed with Rs 248 crore at Raviryal Village of Maheshwaram Mandal in Ranga Reddy district.
The Minister said that the government was providing Rs 4 as cash incentive per litre to the dairy farmers supplying milk to the four co-operative dairies.
From inception of the scheme, an amount of Rs 248.03 crore, (cash incentive ) was released to a total of 2.54 lakh dairy farmers who had benefited by the scheme, he said.
To give a brand image to the Vijaya Dairy products, the government is planning to establish 500 dairy parlours across the state especially in temples, forest areas, tourism areas, Mr Yadav added.
