Saputo is helping workers inject money into the south-west Victorian economy.

Saputo handed out vouchers to a variety of Warrnambool, Vic, restaurants and cafes to every employee of the Allansford site in a bid to put some money into tills.

Saputo Dairy Australia’s director of operations Gerard Lourey said the vouchers were a token of appreciation for employee’s loyalty, hard work and passion.

“During the pandemic, we’ve remained committed to providing a safe environment for our employees while we continue to produce the essential dairy products that families, consumers, customers and communities rely on,” he said.

“We are proud of our employees’ dedication and wanted to show our gratitude in a way that supports other local businesses to recover.”

The Warrnambool City Council partnered with Saputo to deliver the vouchers to the employees.

“We thank the council for helping us with this initiative so we could celebrate our employees in a way that also gives back to the local community,” Mr Lourey said.
